Tuisgebakte brood is nie net ’n lekker bederf nie, maar ook ’n heelwat gesonder opsie, want jy weet wat alles in die brood gebruik word. Winkelbrood voel dalk gerieflik, maar dit is dikwels van meer verfynde meel gemaak en hoog in bygevoegde sout of suiker. Sulke brood is dikwels minder vullend en voedsaam as ’n tuisgebakte brood. Die rysmiddel in die resep is bakpoeier, so dis nie nodig om iets te knie nie. As jy dalk skrikkerig is om ’n gisbrood te bak, is hierdie ’n maklike alternatief. Met ’n tuisgebakte brood kan jy selfs kleiner brode bak, om porsiebeheer makliker te maak.
