The 13th of June was International Chenin Blanc Day, and to celebrate, Leopard’s Leap Wines asked me to develop a few recipes to pair with their lovely trio of Chenin Blanc’s. Think mussels in a creamy sauce, a broccolini and citrus salad and an elegant cheese platter with roasted pears and goats cheese. Yum!

The Italians love a rich tomato sauce with meatballs on pasta – we’ve added a South African twist by using traditional boerewors to create quick meatballs. You’re going to want to make this again and again!

This classic spaghetti carbonara is silky, creamy and delicious. It’s a quick and easy dinner – you’ll want to go back for more than one helping.

No household should be without quick macaroni & cheese recipe. Some recipes are more like a stiff quiche mixture. I prefer lots of texture in this dish and always put corn and peas in my recipe, because my kids love it and it is a great way to include extra veggies for them.

If you do not like green eggs and ham… why not try green beans and eggs.
Carbonara is a delicious and very popular pasta sauce, with egg as the main ingredient and often lots of cream and bacon added. I enjoy this simpler version, which is lighter and so quick and easy to put together. You could even serve it as a starter. Asparagus spears are delicious with eggs, but thin green beans or any other green veggies will be as good in this dish.
