Two Old Girls, but still young at heart
Heleen Meyer is an independent food consultant, recipe developer and food stylist and award-winning cookbook author from Cape Town. She has a passion to encourage and teach others the joys of nutritious food. Her aim is to inspire you and make you feel like a chef in your own kitchen, while showing you that healthy eating is not expensive, bland or boring. You will often see her on television and hear her voice on radio. After over 30 years in the food industry, she still loves to share her passion to develop trustworthy recipes that look as good as they make you feel!
Una-Belle van Wyk matriculated from Girls’ High in 2025 and is already a television celebrity. She was part of the kykNet reality television programme, Kokkedoor Son and See with her father Frans as the other member of their team. Her love for cooking started from a young age, spending time in the kitchen with her Ouma (grandmother) and father, which she has very fond memories of. Mediterranean food is right up her alley, as she loves the freshness of these flavours. Una-Belle is currently taking a gap year, and her dream is to become a psychologist for children, as she has a big caring heart and wants to be able to make a difference in the lives of others. Spending time with family and friends is very important to her. She’s eager to tell you about her experience on the very popular kykNet show and is looking forward to her collaboration with Heleen.
